Abstract
A two-day high school lesson plan that examines the civic and historical significance of Evergreen Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida. Students analyze newspaper articles from 1914 to 1987 to trace public attitudes and preservation efforts, then collaborate on designing community service projects. Activities culminate in formal letters to local government advocating for cemetery remembrance as a civic responsibility.
