Abstract
n this lecture, Elan Justice Pavlinich (EJ) presents "Queering Chaucer’s Legend of Good Women", offering a queer theoretical reading of Chaucer’s Legend of Good Women. Pavlinich explores how Chaucer’s work, traditionally seen as heteronormative, can be read through a queer lens, revealing hidden same-sex desires and challenging medieval gender norms. The presentation connects medieval literary traditions to modern queer identities, blending scholarship with activism to emphasize the importance of LGBTQ+ perspectives in historical literary analysis.
