Abstract

Drawing of Gen. José Miaja Menant, head of Junta de Defensa de Madrid (Madrid Defense Committee), who resisted the Nationalist attack in November 1936. The image was used on postcards sold by members of the Democratic Popular Committee to Aid Spain to raise funds for the Republican cause in Spain.
