Snaps

Snaps

Snaps was published weekly by Frank Tousey from 1899 to 1901. Our collection offers 3 of the 72 titles in the series. Each 32 page issue contained humorous stories written by authors with pseudonyms like Peter Pad, Tom Teaser and Sam Smiley. Tousey publishing described SNAPS as “The only weekly series of funny stories published in the world.” The reader is promised a comic: “printed in clear bold type and will be inclosed in a handsome illuminated cover. Each story will be complete in itself, and will be filled with funny incidents and situations from beginning to end.” Many issues of SNAPS included a list of ten cent hand books on subjects ranging from housekeeping and entertainment to etiquette and society and an invitation to join the Dime Novel Club.
Printing is not supported at the primary Gallery Thumbnail page. Please first navigate to a specific Image before printing.
