Note
This submission includes an MP3 file and a MusicXML file. The MusicXML file is provided to support access, reuse, and adaptation exclusively in music notation software, including MuseScore Studio, Sibelius, Dorico, and Finale. Braille music scores are available upon request.
Minor adjustments were made to the MusicXML file to ensure proper playback. The edits below were made to improve functionality while preserving the musical content.
-
In the bass line of measure 7, the first note has been altered from a Dotted Sixteenth to a Dotted Eighth note to complete the measure.
-
In the right hand of measure 27, Helps writes two quarter notes on beats 4 and 6. Since quarter notes are too large a value for this measure, the transcription has made beat 4 a quarter note and beat 6 an eighth note.
-
The sixteenth notes in the right hand in measures 28 and 29 have been written as triplets, as in measure 27.
-
While there is no written time signature in measure 34, the number of beats per measure implies a meter change to 3/4. The transcription will include a 3/4 marking.
-
The transcription has added a dotted quarter note rest at the beginning of measure 34, as implied in the original document.
-
Measure 34 contains a mid-measure key change. The MuseScore software does not support mid-measure key changes. Therefore, the transcription will begin the key change at the start of measure 34.
-
Measure 35 is an incomplete measure. The transcription altered the eighth note (on the "And" of beat one) to be a quarter note to complete the measure.
-
The lower voices in the right-hand measure 50 leave the measure with incomplete beats. To complete the measure, the transcription has altered the original dotted sixteenth notes to quarter notes.
