College of Nursing

Welcome to the USF Health College of Nursing, where we are committed to bold innovation and trailblazing nursing education. We remain steadfast in our core values of excellence, innovation, inclusion, and respect educating future nurses, advancing nursing science, and implementing evidence-based clinical practice to improve health and wellness.

We have centered our new Strategic Plan (2024-2027) around four key pillars: Education, Research, Practice, and Impact. This strategic focus allows us to build on our achievements and drive continued success.

In the 2023-2024 academic year, our MSN program earned a significant milestone by ranking No. 24 in the U.S. News & World Report, marking our first appearance among the top 25 programs nationwide. Our research efforts also gained recognition, with a remarkable 14-spot rise in the Blue Ridge Institute for Medical Research Rankings, placing us at No. 28 among nursing schools receiving the most NIH funding. Additionally, we secured $3.5 million from the state's Linking Industry to Nursing Education (LINE) program, reinforcing our commitment to strengthening the nursing workforce.

We made history by opening the first-ever nurse-led clinic at Port Tampa Bay and extended our impact with the Mo-Bull Nurse Medical Clinic – all while continuing to prepare the next generation of nursing professionals.

Scientists in our college span different professions such as nursing, psychology, statistics, and education. Their focus is on inter- and transdisciplinary research centered on improving the health of individuals, families, and communities. With robust funding from the National Institutes of Health, other federal sources, and Foundations, our faculty are solving real-world health challenges and providing experiential opportunities for our graduate students.

We are excited about the opportunities ahead and confident that our strategic focus will continue to drive meaningful change in Tampa Bay, Florida, and through our partnerships around the world. We invite you to join us on this journey as we strive to shape the future of nursing and healthcare. Together, we can make a lasting impact.

Go Bulls,
