Abstract

The disruption of homeostasis in the gut microbiome is linked to various host immune and metabolic imbalances. Therefore, there is a need to elucidate the roles of microbes in maintaining homeostasis in the gut microbiome.

Fungi are often overlooked components of gut flora. Here, we investigate in vitro interactions between core microbiota genera from the C. robusta gut: Candida (a yeast), Pseudoalteromonas (bacteria) and Vibrio (bacteria).
