Abstract
In Argentina there are groups of crustaceans and estigobiont mites, endemic and with a long evolutionary history in groundwater and in some caverns. During the V Congress of Biodiversity Conservation the current state of these studies was presented (117 taxa registered in the country), noting that researchers often do not communicate their discoveries and there is a bad articulation with the political-administrative authorities and with the community.
