The survey and a short description of Cueva de Jinama is presented, a lava tube placed close to the upper edge of El Golfo, on El Hierro island. The results of a study carried out in 2000 are provided, including environmental and faunistic data obtained during two visits to the cave. A total of 14 species of arthropods were found, six of which showing adaptations to hypogean life. Se aporta la topografia y una somera descripcion de la Cueva de Jinama, tubo volcanico situado en el borde superior de El Golfo, isla de El Hierro. Se presentan los resultados de un estudio llevado a cabo en 2000, con aporte de datos ambientales y faunisticos obtenidos en dos visitas. Se encontro un total de 14 especies de artropodos, seis de las cuales muestran adaptaciones a la vida hipogea. Open Access - Permission by Author(s) See Extended description for more information.
