Author Biography

Abhishek Verma is a PhD scholar at Diplomacy and Disarmament (DAD) division, Centre for International Politics, Organisation and Disarmament (CIPOD), School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). His PhD thesis examines the sustenance of Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) for more than 50 years. Abhishek holds an MA degree in Politics (Specialisation in International Studies) from School of International Studies, JNU. He has previously worked in research centers and think tanks like The Takshashila Insititute and Chennai Centre for China Studies, on research related to nuclear issues, great power politics, Indian foreign policy and South Asian politics. Currently, he is working as a research analyst at Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analysis (MP-IDSA).
