Abstract
This is an oral history of Bruce Bartlett as part of the Hollinswood Ranch Oral History Collection. Bartlett describes his relationship with Dixie Hollins and his father, Maurice Hollins. He describes his participation in hunting trips on the 1500-acre ranch, imbuing a sense of gun safety in his children, and making his first kill ever on the ranch during his youth. He reminisces about the blooding traditions he experienced in his youth and creates a sense of community on hunting trips on the ranch.
