Note
Zeno E. Jeter, a native of Kokomo, Indiana, came to Tampa in 1886. He was associated with the Tampa Journal, and other papers. He spoke and read Spanish, which earned him his place on the paper, the only one at that time who followed the journalistic trade in the city who died.
