Fair Use Week: February 22-26, 2016

Fair Use week is a community celebration of fair use coordinated by the Association of Research Libraries.  Each day teachers, students, researchers and consumers benefit from copyrighted information because of the fair use exception in the United States copyright law.

• Day In the Life of a College Student Infographic - The Association of Research Libraries released a new info-graphic for Fair Use Week 2016.

Fair Use Week Everywhere

• Fair Use Week in Scholarly Journal and Book Publishing - Tuesday, February 23rd, 12pm-1pm. MIT and Harvard joint web cast discussing the fair use of third party material in scholarly articles.
• The Fair Use Factors: Their History and Application - Thursday, February 25, 2016, 1:00 – 2:00 PM CST. The Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) will freely broadcast the webinar, The Fair Use Factors: Their History and Application, with copyright lawyer Ana Enriquez (Copyright X).
• "Fair Use: A Place in the World" Post by Kenneth Crews, internationally known expert on copyright law and libraries, in honor of Fair Use Week, on the growing international popularity of fair use and similar laws.
