Abstract
Looking over the water from Whitehall, Henry Morrison Flagler's former home in Palm Beach, Florida. Henry Morrison Flagler was a prominent pioneer and oil tycoon in the east cost of Florida during the mid to late 1800s. Most known for his hotel and railroad development. Created the Florida East Coast Railway in the 1890s. In 1888, built the Hotel Ponce de León in St. Augustine, his first in a series of luxury hotels along Florida’s east coast, now known as Ponce de Leon Hall, a national historic landmark and centerpiece of Flagler College.
