Abstract
Richard Gonzmart, President of the Columbia Restaurant Group and 4th generation co-owner, shares memories regarding his youth, his parent's exuberant lifestyle, the development of the Columbia's wine list, and his mother's home cooking that inspired the restaurant's recipes. He reflects upon his gradually increased responsibilities at the restaurant during his youth, and his first ventures with the Café and Warehouse nightclubs. Mr. Gonzmart discusses the difficulties of a family business while examining their good and bad business relations, and comments on receiving honors and being studied by a prestigious business college.
