Abstract

Musical Excerpts From Living Composers Presented by Sunshine City Opera The Studio@620 invites you to Sunshine CIty Opera’s inaugural concert featuring music by living composers.“Opera Sampler” will be an introduction of this new musical venture in St. Petersburg! With approximately an hour of new music for voice and piano, the audience will experience a buffet of sounds ranging from the avant garde to the melodically sublime. Come sample some of the best that living composers have to offer the field of opera! The evening will feature performances by: Katherine Stenzel, soprano, Thea Lobo, mezzo, and Eunmi Ko, music director and piano. Music to be performed includes excerpts from: The Little Blue One, by Dominick DiOrio, The Ten-Block Walk, by Erin Huelskamp, Amor, by Yalil Guerra, Glimpses, by Hoàng Phó, Idolos del sueño, by Ileana Perez Velazquez, Grand Is The Seen, by Ingrid Stölzel,and Between Sunsets, by Hilary Tann. This concert will be featured as part of the St. Pete Arts Festival.
