Abstract
Nelson Poynter was editor and publisher of the "St. Petersburg Times" and a supporter of the USF St. Petersburg campus. He died in 1978, shortly after attending a groundbreaking for expansion of the campus. The USF St. Petersburg library is named in his memory.
