About This Journal
Suburban Sustainability is published by National Center for Suburban Studies at Hofstra University®, which is a non-partisan research institution dedicated to promoting objective, academically rigorous study of suburbia's problems, as well as its promise. The suburbs have emerged as the nexus of dynamic demographic, social, economic, and environmental change. The tasks of identifying, analyzing, and solving the problems of suburbia are essential for the health of the world.
Suburban Sustainability seeks to be the premier dissemination vehicle for scholarship on sustainability issues in suburban and metropolitan settings.
Suburban Sustainability is supported by the University of South Florida Library, which is committed to ensuring that peer-reviewed research is open access. Thus, Suburban Sustainability is freely and universally accessible online and its authors retain copyright, allowing anyone to reproduce or disseminate articles according to the copyright and licensing agreement. The journal is archived at USF and at a backup repository.
There are no author fees associated with publishing in Suburban Sustainability. Authors retain copyright of their material under a Creative Commons License Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.
Accepted Article Types
We are interested in both social and natural science approaches and we are particularly interested in publishing interdisciplinary research that addresses the unique issues associated with sustainability in suburban settings.
