Abstract

A new record of brood-parasitism by the Shiny Cowbird Molothrus bonariensis on the Whitelined Tanager Tachyphonus rufus was recorded in Yaracuy state, Venezuela. This note adds to the number of cases known for the country, includes a new locality in northwestern Venezuela, and reasserts the preliminary record between both species after 70 years of its fi rst observation.
