Abstract
The Connecticut Warbler is a small passerine bird that breeds in a limited area of northern North America and winters in the South American Amazon basin, crossing the Caribbean and northern South America on its migratory journeys, including Venezuela. We found a dead individual in the urban area of San Carlos city (Cojedes state) on October 9, 2022. The individual was laying on a sidewalk presumably after crashing against a glass window. The goal of this note is to report this finding to improve the knowledge on the distribution and movements of this transient species in Venezuela.
