Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) is a non-profit organization formed in 1982 to promote the appreciation and conservation of Ontario’s birds. OFO oversees the Ontario Bird Records Committee (OBRC), publishes the newsletter (OFO News) and this journal (Ontario Birds), operates a bird sightings listserv (Ontbirds) and hosts field trips throughout the province.

Ontario Birds is a peer-reviewed journal that documents new information on the birds of the province and includes articles about status, distribution, identification and behaviour, as well as the Annual Report of the OBRC. The journal is published three times a year—in April, August and December— and is available with an OFO membership.

Information on OFO activities is on www.ofo.ca. See Ontario Birds at: http://www.ofo.ca/library/list/key/ob
