Abstract
Festivals are important touristic products that allow individuals to escape from busy and stressful work environments. Visitors could have pleasant experiences with the opportunities such as acculturation, entertainment and tasting at the festivals. With the improvement of festivals and the increase in their number and variety, festival tourism has become one of the important issues of tourism. This study covers the postgraduate theses that completed between 1997 and 2021 within the scope of festival tourism. The main purpose of the study is to determine the bibliometric features of graduate theses in this context within the framework of various parameters. Another purpose of the research is to reveal the general characteristics of the literature on festival tourism and to give an idea to the researchers who plan to work on this subject. In this study, bibliometric analysis technique, one of the qualitative research methods, has been used. In this context, 40 postgraduate theses published within the scope of festival tourism in the database of YOK between 1997 and 2021; have been analyzed by using bibliometric parameters such as type of thesis, title of supervisor, year of publication, university of publication, number of pages and subject. The information about the studies in the database has been entered into a statistical analysis program. Then, frequency and percentage analyze of the data entered into the program have been carried out. Finally, the study has been concluded by writing the conclusion and recommendations section.

Festival turizmi konusu üzerine tamamlanan lisansüstü tezlerin bibliyometrik profili
Özet
Festivaller, bireylerin yoğun ve stresli iş ortamlarından kaçışlarına fırsat tanıyan önemli turistik ürünlerdir. Festivallerde deneyimlenen kültürlenme, eğlence ve tadım yapma gibi olanaklarla ziyaretçiler keyifli deneyimler yaşayabilmektedir. Festivallerin iyileştirilmesi, sayılarında ve çeşitlerindeki artışla birlikte festival turizmi de turizmin önemli konularından biri haline gelmiştir. Bu çalışma festival turizmi konusu kapsamında 1997 ile 2021 yılları arasında tamamlanan lisansüstü tezleri kapsamaktadır. Bu kapsamdaki lisansüstü tezlerin bibliyometrik özelliklerinin birçok parametre çerçevesinde belirlenmesi çalışmanın temel amacını oluşturmaktadır. Festival turizmi konusunda lisansüstü kıstastaki alanyazının genel özelliklerini ortaya çıkarmak ve bu konuda çalışmayı planlayan araştırmacılara fikir vermek de araştırmanın bir diğer amacıdır. Bu çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan bibliyometrik analiz tekniğine başvurulmuştur. Bu kapsamda YÖK (Yükseköğretim Kurulu) veri tabanında 1997 ve 2021 yılları arasında festival turizmi konusu kapsamında yayınlanmış olan 40 lisansüstü tez; “tezin türü”, “danışman unvanı”, “yayınlandığı yıl”, “yayınlandığı üniversite”, “sayfa sayısı” ve “konusu” gibi bibliyometrik parametrelerden yararlanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Konu kapsamında veri tabanında bulunan çalışmalara ilişkin bilgiler bir istatistiksel analiz programına yüklenmiştir. Daha sonra programa yüklenen verilerin sıklık ve yüzde analizleri yapılmıştır. Edinilen bulgular yorumlandıktan sonra sonuç ve öneriler bölümü yazılarak çalışma bitirilmiştir.
