Author Biography
Dr. Thomas A. Marks is the Distinguished Professor and MG Edward G. Lansdale Chair of Irregular Warfighting Strategy at the College of International Security Affairs (CISA) of the National Defense University (NDU), Washington, DC. He assumed this rank and position in July 2016 after a dozen years as the founding Chair of the War and Conflict Studies (WACS) Department, a position he was asked to occupy in the aftermath of 9/11 due to his extensive academic and field experience in irregular warfare. Dr. Marks has authored hundreds of publications, many of which focus on Colombia.
