Keynote Address: Peripheral Peripheries: Operationalizing Qualitative Methodologies in New Spaces of Colonialism

Bryce Henson is a Visiting Assistant Professor in African American Studies at the University of Florida. He is also an Executive Board Member of the Association for the Study of the Worldwide African Diaspora (ASWAD). His scholarship sits at the intersection of African diaspora studies, Black feminist theory, critical ethnography, postcolonial studies, critical theory, and cultural studies. His current research project is ethnographic study of emergent Black diasporic cultural politics and connectivities in the Global South that disrupt relations of power within the nation-state as well as the African diaspora.
