Abstract
Located at Fowler Avenue and 46th Street, the Thatcher Glass Factory, now no longer operating, was perhaps Tampa's best example of fortuitous form in industrial building. The north end is a Constructivist-like "composition" of geometric shapes and spaces with dome-, gable- leant-to-, and flat roofs; and bold as well as fine-lined sculpturesque extras. It could serve as a source of inspiration for architectural students at the University of South Florida nearby. This is a view from the north at a distance. Title supplied by cataloger. Description supplied by Sape A. Zylstra.
