Abstract
This is an oral history interview with John Grimaldi, a third generation resident of Ybor City. Grimaldi's grandfather came to Tampa from Naples, Italy around 1900 and worked as a steamship agent before becoming one of the founding members of the Bank of Ybor City. Grimaldi recounts some of his parents' and grandparents' experiences and then describes his own memories from his childhood in Ybor City. He also discusses urban renewal and its effects.
