The Bayboro Harbor Maritime Dase in St. Petersburg was decommissioned after World War II. Civic leaders campaigned for an educational institution to take over the land, but it was not until 1965 that the space opened as a branch campus of USF. The exact date that this photograph was taken is unknown.
