Abstract

On November 1, 2012, the USF Libraries, in partnership with Equality Florida and the USF Pride Alliance, presented an evening of conversation with Robert V. Taylor, lecturer, author, former anti-apartheid activist, and close friend of Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Taylor moved from South Africa to America to pursue theological studies, rising to become Dean of the Episcopal Cathedral of Seattle and their highest ranking openly gay clergy member. Dr. Taylor answered questions from moderator Kindell Workman and the audience and shared his thoughts on spirituality and living a purposeful life based on his new book, "A New Way to Be Human," which has been highly acclaimed by such notables as Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Deepak Chopra, and Bernie Siegel, MD.
