Abstract
Providing additional or improved nesting structure for wading birds requires active management. Artificial nest platforms may be an effective tool in waterbird rookery management. A successful nest platform design for Great Blue Herons (Ardea herodias) used in the Coastal Bend region of the Texas coast is described, and platform usage and nest success are discussed.
