Text in Latin. Original image found in: Sacred leaves beyond the quill ... printed books, 1450 - 1500. Printed by Jacob Meydenbach, Mainz, Germany. Text identification: The hortus sanitatis (garden of health) is an encyclopedia on the medicinal properties of plants. This leaf is taken from the chapter "de lapidibus" (on stones). Items in this collection are only available online; we do not have physical copies of these items in the USF Library's Special Collections. The original items were returned to the donor.
