f. 1r: One decorated initial in gold with blue, red and embellished with gold leaf. f. 2r: Full-page border with blue and red floral pattern accented with green and red vegetal motifs. Includes one decorated blue and gold initial.

Text in Latin. Original image found in: Sacred leaves liturgy & devotion: manuscripts from England to Ethiopia. Text identification: ff. 1r-1v: The preface to the reader; ff.2r-178r: Parts I,II, and III of Meditations, with prayers, on the life and loving kindnesses of Jesus Christ written by Thomas a Kempis; ff. 178r-198r: prayers addressed to the parts of Christ's body with two additional prayers regarding the Resurrection and Ascension interspersed. Original brown leather binding, repaired extensively with modern leather including new spine. Blind embossed animal figures (six) on front and back of original leather, pattern repeated twice on each side. Missing clasps. Items in this collection are only available online; we do not have physical copies of these items in the USF Library's Special Collections. The original items were returned to the donor.
