Abstract
Arbie Peacock Jr., an alum of the Rosenwald School in Okahumpka, Florida, recounts his experiences at the segregated school and the racial tensions he faced, including being targeted by the Ku Klux Klan. Peacock shares that the Rosenwald School was operational from 1922 to 1967 in Okahumpka and elaborates on the school's role in fostering a strong work ethic and academic success. Arbie Peacock notices that many of his classmates did well in their higher education and careers. Peacock also discusses the impact of segregation on his community and the broader societal changes post-desegregation.
