Abstract
This short book is essentially a primer. The bulk of the book demonstrates how Turkat's psychological approach can be applied to the formulation and modification of various personality disorders. Numerous cases and examples of clinical interventions are described. He concedes that his approach has no scientific backing. The final chapter urges clinicians to contribute to the scientific process, primarily through case analysis procedures that are briefly described.
