Photograph of the stateroom of Dr. John C. Ogden (of Fairleigh Dickinson University - West Indies Laboratory) on the R/V [Research Vessel] Alpha Helix. A desk with numerous papers and equipment is pictured at the center of the photograph. Dr. Ogden was the Chief Scientist on a research expedition to Miskito Bank, Nicaragua aboard the R/V Alpha Helix from October 13, 1977 to November 18, 1977. Dr. Ogden and his colleagues' research on the expedition included studies on seagrasses, fish, sea urchins, and the green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas).
