Paper submission

Journal website

Starting with the first issue of 2022, the Journal of Public Transportation will be published by Elsevier, a leading publisher of transportation research. Click here to find the new Editorial Manager paper submission site.

The Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR) at the University of South Florida launched the journal in 1996. Since then, it has established itself as an important resource in its field. The journal has steadily built up a substantial community of readers, reviewers and authors. Submissions and published papers are at a healthy level. Its quality has been recognized by its inclusion as a Web of Science journal (with its associated Impact Factor) and it has a loyal following among practitioners as well as researchers.

When the journal began, its Open Access model was unusual, but it is now commonplace. Meanwhile, Elsevier has embraced Open Access and now has a growing family of other Open Access journals in transportation research. We therefore feel confident that this is the right moment to entrust the journal to Elsevier to enable it to grow, develop further, and serve its community even better.

Thank you to all our authors, reviewers, readers and editors.
