Abstract
The current crisis in Eastern DRC calls for national and international commitment to be resolved. The author thinks that solution to the crisis implies responses to issues of identity, disarmament of armed groups and land related conflicts. According to the author, issues of governance and failure of peace and security institutions have to be considered as well. All those problems have to be discussed in order to reach durable solutions. Through various recommendations, the author highlights the necessity to respect Human Rights, and various agreements that have been signed and the need for all the communities in Northern Kivu to enjoy equal rights.
