Abstract
Sandra Hollins shares her daily routine in this captivating oral history. As the daughter of Dixie Martin Hollins Sr., Sandra worked tirelessly alongside her sister Patricia, engaging in various activities such as marking and branding cows, maintaining horses, bailing hay, planting grass, and riding the fences. The ranch’s significance extended beyond the strenuous labor, however. Sandra delves into stories of the nearby landowners, various leasing agreements on Hollinswood Ranch, and their influence on the ranch. Accompanied by her daughter, Leslie Jemison, Sandra reminisces about cherished family gatherings, the lessons she learned from ranch labor, and her treasured memories with her father.
