Oral history interview with Holocaust concentration camp liberator Herbert Cohen. Cohen was a member of the 20th Armored Division, which liberated Dachau on April 29, 1945. His unit also liberated the Hadamar Euthanasia Center and Mühldorf, a sub-camp of Dachau. They did not spend much time at Hadamar as they ran through the hospital looking for the guards, but they did go through Dachau more slowly. Cohen saw the crematorium at Dachau and spoke to some of the prisoners in Yiddish, and he also talked to the townspeople, who denied knowing anything about the camp. During this interview, he reads some excerpts from his division's history book.
