Abstract
A letter to John William Hardy, the bird curator at the Florida Museum of Natural History and Audubon Club president, from lawyer Samuel M. McMillan and his wife, who found the first white-collared swift specimen in the U.S. at a Pensacola condo. The letter details how the McMillans sought to have the bird identified and obtained wind reports to determine where the bird came from.
