Abstract

Four photographs depicting Donald J. Nicholson's Jeep, Oologist Charles E. Carter, and a nest and 8 eggs belonging to a Wayne's clapper rail (Rallus crepitans waynei) on Conch Island, which is adjacent to Anastasia Island, St. August, St. John's County, Florida. Conch Island, Adjacent to Anastasia Island, St. Augustine, St. John’s County, Florida. Nicholson’s jeep and Charles E. Carter, Oologist, on the Island, where the Willets are found nesting each year. April 23, 1963. Showing nest and 8 eggs of a Wayne’s Clapper Rail found and collected by Carter, with photographs by D.J. Nicholson. Nest in dry ground among knee-high dead grass just as found, and two different shots of same nest and eggs with vegetation parted.
