Abstract
In this article, the author presents a report on a multi-method dissertation project related to colonial legacies and ethnic Conflict in India. He state that the report comprises of a large-N analysis of 589 districts in India with 15 months of archival research. He also discusses the reason behind the development of ethnic conflicts around one identity in multi-ethnic states of the nation.
